Asia street life from above

When i was a child i started traveling trough Atlas books and board games. Then, when i was landscape architect and urbanist, we were used to seen the world from the sky on our giant cities plans at the office. Naturally, i started drawing views from the sky in travel. Seen the world like a bird without wings is a travel inside the travel. This is a very special travel roll about street life from above in Asia. It is an aerial view of Cambodia containing 7 close-up shots, as if a drone was flying over the area. The drawings come from observations made at ground level or by aerial view when it was possible, by drawing what you see on the horizon, you sometimes have to imagine yourself getting higher to better illustrate an idea. The 7 aerial views are as follows : the royal palace in Phnom Penh, the market of Orrusey, the traffic jam and how you process! Colonial tiles, the silversmith’s shop, the street games as well as the Mekong riverside and a Lotus farm. Most part of this travel diary were draw at Phnom Penh, in Cambodia. But it is the same kind of ambiance in many different cities in South-East Asia, in Thaïland, Vietnam or Laos… It’s a perfect gift for expat.
