‘Yantra’ comes from Sanskrit and means ‘geometric figure, often associated with animal or deity motifs, drawn physically or mentally to tame the mind and control cosmic forces, bringing power, protection or fortune.’

This illustrated scroll features sacred tattoos and Khmer portraits from Southeast Asia that I encountered during my travels across the country. It also includes various materials and objects still used today that are part of Khmer culture and daily life in Cambodia.

A legend in Khmer, French and English appears on the scroll. More information about the legend will be detailed between now and September 2025.

This scroll will, of course, be available in Cambodia in October 2025.

At present, there are reports of 200,000 people who have had to flee the border areas. The Khmer people are sleeping under tarpaulins in the countryside in the middle of the rainy season!
The fund will be used to finance tarpaulins, tents, basic necessities and food.

As I cannot afford to leave any earlier, my return to Cambodia is scheduled for October 2025, but I cannot stand by and do nothing for this country that is so dear to my heart and to which I have devoted a large part of my work as an illustrator since 2015! Cambodia means much more to me than yet another conflict of this kind.

30% of ALL orders placed on the website (until 31 August 2025, a date that may change at a later date depending on the conflict) INCLUDING THIS NEW ‘YANTRA’ PARCHMENT, will go towards the fund set up by Dara from Evaan Market (https://evaanmarket.com), best known for his Asian Street Food festival in Paris.

Part of the funds will also be sent to a small NGO that I have wanted to support for quite some time now. ‘Au-Delà Les Rizières’ is a socio-educational centre for children in the village of O’Krassar in the province of Kep. You will be notified individually of this change.

Pre-orders are now open and will be shipped in September 2025.

UPDATE FROM 4 SEPTEMBER 2025

Tensions between Thailand and Cambodia have eased but remain fragile. Following my discussions with Dara from Evann Market, his fundraising campaign was closed on 24 August 2025, as the vast majority of refugees were able to return to their homes. By mutual agreement, it was decided that all funds obtained from me (and therefore from you), i.e. €260, would be donated to ‘Delà Les Rizières’ as stipulated above.
